One of the earliest reality programs was Candid Camera, which debuted in 1948. In recent years, the reality genre has been represented by That's Incredible (1980), The People's Court (1981) and America's Funniest Home Videos (1990). MTV's The Real World, now in its 10th season sparked new interest in reality entertainment. And then, of course, came the juggernaut - Survivor.
